A video of a man being beaten by his wife and sister-in-law has gone viral on social media platforms. The incident took place in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand, outside a civil court.
In the video, which was captured by a bystander, two women can be seen attacking the man. Despite the presence of onlookers who attempted to intervene and stop the assault, the women continued to unleash blows upon him.
The victim, Rajkumar, had come to Ramgarh from Patna for a court date.
According to the victim, he had married Khushboo Kumari in 2009 in a love marriage.
However, he said Khushboo never lived with her in-laws and consistently pressured him to stay at her maternal home.
He claimed to have endured significant mental harassment as a result.
In 2017, Khushboo Kumari filed a maintenance case against Rajkumar at the Ramgarh Civil Court. Rajkumar had returned to court for the same case when the assault occurred.
The police have launched a probe into the matter.
